SPRING SOCIAL UPDATE
Approximately 75 people attended. Profit of $1,363.96. Silent auction items without specific monetary value were the most profitable and well received. If the event is held again next year, a possible change of venue (Sakonnet Bay Manor – no room charge) and other options for bar service will be explored.
CANDY SALE SPRING FUNDRAISER UPDATE
Anticipated profit of: $2,988.00. Monies still being collected. Student who sold the most (4 boxes of candy) will be rewarded with a $10.00 gift certificate to the book fair.
3rd and 4th GRADE ADVENTURE GAMES UPDATE
Approximately 20-25 children attended. Also good parent participation at this event. Discussed having the event in the winter next year to increase attendance by avoiding baseball season conflicts.

The PTO may also provide freeze pops, frozen lemonade and/or watermelon for all the students. Parent volunteers will be needed to assist with running the games. A sign-up flyer will be sent home with students.

• Sherry K to check in with Miss Davis re: 3rd & 4th grade Talent Show to see if she needs any support from the PTO.
• Discussion of interactive musical entertainer to perform for Grade 3 since no field trip planned. Cost approximately $600.00. Sherry K. to follow up with the teachers and Mr. Gastall for approval. Addendum: request for musical entertainer withdrawn due to PTO informed that 3rd grade will be going on field trip to the Newport Mansions on June 10th.
• Discussion of a concession stand at the Tiverton Farmer’s Market to be run by the PTO on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm starting 7/5 through 9/27. Other PTO's were also invited to participate on a rotating schedule. All profits generated at the concession stand would benefit the PTO running it.

FINAL MEETING – WEDNESDAY, May 28th at 6:30 pm
AGENDA:
1. WAYS TO SPEND EXTRA FUNDS BEFORE YEAR END
Anyone with ideas, suggestions or requests should submit them to the PTO by May 26th in order that they may be discussed at this meeting.
Approved ideas currently in progress:
• Ice Cream Social for all students on June 12th rather than the last day of school in order to include 4th graders. Possible options ice cream truck coming to school or the PTO to purchase frozen novelties.
• Provide 15 classroom teachers (plus Music, Art and one Physical Education class) a $100.00 check to purchase classroom supplies over the summer.
• Mr. Gastall has been asked to provide the PTO with a list of school improvement items which could be purchased that would benefit the school, students and/or staff.
